Zoos

Zoos are fun places to visit. They have penguins, komodo dragons, and other wild animals that need to be protected because some of them are almost extinct. People destroy the animals' homes or kill them for their skins. Zoos help save the endangered animals by giving them a home and feeding them.

Sometimes zookeepers take the animals out of their cages and let you pet them, like snakes and frogs. The keepers teach people how to act around the animals and save them from extinction. Some zoos have scientists who study wild animals, so they can save more of them and teach us how to protect them.

When you visit a zoo, your money does not go to waste. It goes to the animals' food and medicine if they get sick. The money also helps when new babies are born because the zoo might need to care for them if the mommy animals can't.
